Harrison Lake Poker Run Society

Box 351 Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Canada V0M 1K0
Email: PokerRun@shaw.ca.

As we are a non-profit society, and all of the Directors volunteer their time and efforts. Since 2001 we have been able to donate nearly $20,000 to the Kent Harrison Search and Rescue Team Society.

Search and Rescue is an important organization in our community. On call 24 hours a day - 365 days a year, they are a group of dedicated individuals that donate their own time to help rescue boaters, hikers and campers in the Upper Fraser Valley.

Poker Run Directors

Jamie Ubell

Chairman
Living in Agassiz dividing my time between my career at Coast Mountain Bus Company as an Inspector, Pacific Marine Performance (Marine rigging, repairs and upholstery) and the poker run, I am back again as Chairman this year. (Where do we find the time?) We will be bringing you another great event for 2010. Live music at all the venues, great food and plenty of entertainment. I look forward seeing all past participants along with many new!

Kurt Bernemann

Vice - Chairman
Kurt is an original Harrison lake Poker runner and has participated every year since it's inception. He purchased a summer home in the village several years ago and many in town consider him to be a local. This is his second year as a 'society member' and first as an elected official. Next year he vows to stay in the room during nominations.

Ken Becotte

Treasurer
Ken is the owner of Lakeside Marine Sales, a boat brokerage serving the Harrison Lake and Fraser Valley area. Ken is also the Mayor of Harrison Hot Springs. He enjoys boating with wife Barb on their 34ft. Sportfisher $ummer Wage$.

Rob Sciotti

Secretary
Rob operates the A&W restaurant in Agassiz (the Agassiz A&W is a corporate sponsor of our annual event). Rob has been involved in various positions within the Poker Run Society since its inception in 2001. He has been running a card stop every year as well. An avid boater, Rob can be found on the lake every weekend on his 23' Maxum during the season.

Colleen Brown

Sales Director
Colleen has been involved with the Harrison Lake Poker Run for the last few years. She lives in Agassiz with her three children and works full time as a care aide as well as at her home based custom sewing business. Colleen enjoys boating with all her friends and family and looks forward to a wonderful summer on the water and helping out with this awesome event!

Michelle Bugden

Prize Director
Michele has lived in Harrison Hot Springs for the past 10 years. She and her husband, Don, have attended every Harrison Lake Poker Run since they began. Their 25 foot Mirage can usually be seen slicing through the lake on sunny weekends from April to October. From Monday to Friday she's known as Mrs. Bugden to her grade 4 students in Chilliwack. Michele looks forward to putting her energy into helping with this exciting event.

Mark Abrams

Business Director
Mark continues as HLPR Business Director for the current year. As a detail oriented task manager, he brings many years of experience in advertising and communications production, as well as expertise in marine finance and solid working relationships with many of the key sponsors and suppliers the Society deals with each year. An avidHarrison Lake boater, himself, you'll find him out on the lake aboard his Crownline 250CR, "Nauti N'Ice".

Brad Weiss

Lunch Stop Marshall
Brad has been a member of the Poker Run since 2008. A retired business owner, he lives in Harrison and is an avid boater who is seen on the lake almost daily in the summer on his 32' Campion. Brad is a member of the Harrison Yacht Club and will be working with Dave Hampson on the Lunch Stop Marshall duties.

Dave Hampson

Lunch Stop Marshall
This is the first year of my involvement with the Harrison Lake Poker Run. I love Harrison Lake and have boated out of the Harrison Yacht Club since 1994. I also serve on the Harrison Lake Harbor Commission and have a keen interest in anything that takes place on the lake. After retiring from a career in municipal government administration, I recently moved to Harrison Hot Springs from Chilliwack, BC and hope to become more involved in our resort community.

Lesa Lacey

Card Master
This is Lesa's first year working with the Harrison Lake Poker Run and she is super excited to join the team! Lesa expects to be leaning heavily on the existing society members to complete her role as Card Master this year the relative newcomer. Lesa and her husband Erik run Lacey Developments and have enjoyed building some of the cabins on the Harrison River and Lake. Lesa spends time at home with her two year old and her dogs. Their family spends most weekends in the summer up at her cabin on Harrison River enjoying the most beautiful place on earth!
