Harrison Lake Poker Run Society

6524 Pioneer Ave., Agassiz BC V0M 1A1
Email: PokerRun@shaw.ca

As we are a non-profit society, and all of the Directors volunteer their time and efforts. Since 2001 we have been able to donate nearly $20,000 to the Kent Harrison Search and Rescue Team Society.

Search and Rescue is an important organization in our community. On call 24 hours a day - 365 days a year, they are a group of dedicated individuals that donate their own time to help rescue boaters, hikers and campers in the Upper Fraser Valley.

Poker Run Directors

Jamie Ubell

Chairman
I have enjoyed the past years as Chairman of what has become a great event and non-profit society. This year, we have grown our membership and created a fantastic team to improve what we hope is your highlight weekend of the year. I keep busy with several jobs as well as chairman; Fleet Inspector for CMBC, o/o of Pacific Marine Performance, part-time Instructor at UCFV. I even find time to play with my 29 Scarab and see how much gas I can burn up in a season! I can only look forward to what the future brings.

Stan O'Connell

Vice - Chairman
One of the nice things about being the G.M. of one of the Fraser Valleys best boat dealers is the option of not actually "owning" a boat but having many to choose from. When a Campion is needed for speed or comfort… fantastic. How about a Legend to get out on the Fraser to catch a salmon… done. After 25 years in the automobile business I think I'm going to quite like the boating world. While my daughter likes riding and swimming from boats it's my son who really loves to get wacky on a wakeboard. In the winter you'll find me on frozen water be it a hockey rink or most typically a mountain with a snowboard strapped on. See you this summer at the Poker Run, or feel free to drop by Leo Edwards and Sons in Chilliwack to say hello.

Ken Becotte

Treasurer
Ken is the owner of Lakeside Marine Sales, a boat brokerage serving the Harrison Lake and Fraser Valley area. Ken and wife Barb are avid boaters and enjoy cruising their 34' Bayliner Sport Fisher on Harrison Lake and the BC Coast.

Susan Bohonos-Thomson

Secretary / Welcome Party Host
Susan….. "AKA" River Chick is a team player and active in community events and fundraisers. She is a new mom and owns and operates The Echoes Harrison River Retreat with her husband Clint. She lives her life on the water in all aspects of home, work and play. If you venture down the Harrison River you will see her 3 dogs lying on the dock.

Ron Mulder

Sales Director
I am owner, operator, CEO, and President of RW Construction Ltd. I mostly build barns for dairy, poultry and pork. On occasion, I will build a deck for special people in my life. I presently own a 2006 Four Winns and hope to have it in the Poker Run this year and hope not to get lost without a compass on board. If you see me on the lake feel free to pass me a beer(stole that part from Marina's) but truthfully I would prefer BUBBLEGUM ICECREAM!!! Mmmmm….

Marina Dunn

Prize Director
Marina lives in Agassiz, which makes the waters of Harrison Lake her playground. She and her husband have up scaled their water toy to a 32' Carver from a 21' aluminium jet boat, this huge leap means new opportunities to play even longer. Marina is an active member in the Harrison Lake Poker Run Society as our new Prize Director; as well she is actively involved in sales and marketing. As a second year veteran she is excited about the changes aimed to entertain and please this year's participants. So what are you waiting for ~ come out to this year's event and check it out!

Tracey Ploss has taken on the role of Registration Director, bringing many years of Live Event and Production Experience with him. Tracey is also a co-owner in Marine Toys Inc., which keeps him very busy always looking for new products.
