2011 "Chasing Pirates" Treasure Hunt
Event Details
This year's event starts out from Harrison Hot Springs at 12 noon on August 6th. Depending on the number of boats participating there may be a series of starts to accommodate both faster and smaller boats.
Pirates will have 2 hours to cruise Harrison Lake to collect the clues they'll need to unlock the Pirate Treasure Chest. With clues in hand the Pirates will gather at "Long John Island Bay" to discover if they've solved the puzzle and won the Treasure Chest.
The music will begin at 2pm and throughout the afternoon we will be holding contests and awarding prizes. The Treasure Chest will be awarded at 4pm with a great feast to follow. At 6pm we'll start up the music once again and keep the fun going for the next few hours. At 8pm the party will wind down for the evening and those that wish to return to Harrison Hot Springs for evening can do so while there is still lots of light. If pirates wish they can lay over for the night at Long "John" Island until the next day.
